Alexei is a classically trained painter who received his MFA in 1998 from the Ilya Glazunov Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture — one of the most respected institutions in the classical tradition. 

Over the past two decades, his work has been featured in nearly 300 exhibitions, museum shows, and auctions across Russia, the United States, Canada, France, England, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, and Morocco.
